Apple Suspends Siri Grading Globally to Address Privacy Concerns

Apple is suspending Siri grading globally following a report that contractors working on Siri regularly hear confidential information including medical details, drug deals, and sexual encounters.

The report was a shock to users, many of which did not realize that Apple had workers listening to their interactions with Siri.

Apple says that less than 1% of activations are reviewed by humans, a number which is still quite high. Google says 0.2% of its audio snippets are reviewed.

Today, Apple announced it will conduct a thorough review of its Siri grading efforts and will introduce a new toggle that lets users opt out.

“We are committed to delivering a great Siri experience while protecting user privacy,” Apple said in a statement to TechCrunch. “While we conduct a thorough review, we are suspending Siri grading globally. Additionally, as part of a future software update, users will have the ability to choose to participate in grading.”

It's interesting how the world cries fowl against the evil mean while we have the technology to put an end to drug deals and child trafficking but now privacy is an issue protecting the continuation of the disgusting evil in our world. Shows how much mankind stands behind such things simply because they know that the real bosses will and can take down apple even with all the money in the world. But it's the people that allow such things to happen then pass of the blame to someone else so evil can prevail. Good luck out there.
