Thanks Greentea and Wombat! I can kiss you both! Updated with Itunes and then use ziphone to "DO IT ALL" and no probs. My mrs also has an iphone but has 1.1.2 otb and unlock with Gehot. unlock. Do you think its wise to do hers aswell? I read from Hackintosh that the ziphone unlock with the Gehot unlock can brick the iphone, is this true?

My phone was 1.0.2, jailbroken, unlocked using ibriker, then later upgraded to 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. Now I have successfully upgraded to 1.1.4 with this vey amazing porgram, but I have lost my Chinese Bible which came with ibricker ver 8. How can I install it again? I really want it back, so would someone please show me a step by step guide to get it back. Much appreciated.

thank you wombat and iclarified rocks. i finshed my work and it is done. thanks again. but what i would like to know must i use app patch. i used my phone and it worked making calls and receiving. what i must use aslo to use summerboard again. any help would be appreciated.

Ohh , Wonbat do not be so modest I think you have a lot of fans out there, not only me, you just clarified us better than others made. This forum is for that purpose isn't it? Help one another but in this case you look like know better than many of us in this forum, greetings and good luck.

@grimlock: In your case, direct to 1.1.4., it "makes life simple" nowadays. @Firenza: So it be! @greentea: nice to have fans out there ;-) The real work is however done by GeoHot, Zibri and iClarified (just to name some). We are all profiting from their work aren't we? For me it's a little return on investment.

Grimlock do not be afraid, everybody has passed that phase so, make what wonbat says if you have problems do it direct from itunes(update and install) but not as a new iphone if not y will loose all your data., if you do not trust me ask wombat again, I just follow his instructions I am not an expert, I am her fan.

Thank you Wombat, I will do it directly from itunes and as a new Iphone and then proceed with Ziphone, 2.5v, i will follow the Iclarified instructions to do that, thank you again!! for give us your time and anwer our doubts.

@grimlock: 1. Follow the tutorial to download the 1.1.4 Firmware. 2. Connected to iTunes, restore and update your iPhone. IMPORTANT: Press and hold the SHIFT BUTTON AND CLICK RESTORE. A window will open, looking for your *.ipsw file. Open this and wait for the restoration and update to finish. 3. Leave the iPhone connected and run the extracted ZiPhoneGui. EXE. Decide what you want (Do it all is the "easiest"). BINGO. ..............You seem to have done step one already, Step 2 takes about 10 mins, Step 3 takes about 5 to 10 mins. If that's worth your time, then go ahead!

Hi Wombat and Greentea Iam in need for some fo your expertise! I currently have a 1.1.1 oob and upgraded to 1.1.2 and unlcoked with anysim, its currently on a 3.9bl. I want to upgrade to 1.1.4 and not sure whats the best way to do it. I read the instructions by Greentea to Sandric and still not sure what you meant by using itune to upgrade. I have the firmware downloaded on desktop, should I use restore button on Itunes to restore to 1.1.4 directly? Do I have to upgrade to 1.1.3 first or just go to 1.1.4? Or should I use itune's auto upgrade instead? Once I upgraded to 1.1.4, do I still need to do the whole activate, jailbreak and unlock using Ziphone 2.5? My Iphone have consumed so much of my time already and I dont want to fu_k around with it too much.

@paulclo : Did you move the APPS via BossTool? If so, then the new File structure appears not compatible with Customize. If not, then you could trie to chance the rights in the directories using WinSCP or similar. If you are not familiar with this, you will have to wait until Customize is updated.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------@firenza. If you "just bought it" then it's probably 1.1.4 already, at least 1.1.3. You can use the tutorial here. If iTunes tells you that you are on 1.1.4 then you just need ZiPhone GUI. Of course other methods or tutorials are here too, but I'm more familiar with Zibris method. Your 4.6 Bootloader will then be downgraded to 3.9, which has its advantages

Wombat, I just bought in America a new 4.6BL 16gb iphone, can I proceed like many here direct unlock from 1.1.2-114? I will read all posts to figure out how to do it alone but please tell me if yes or not because i am completely lost. I thank you.

Hi wombat: I had no problem adding the iPod Touch Fans as a source, but it does not load Customize 1.21 from skylar for my installation. It is not listed in the package list. As always, there is one Customize 1.21 from Spicy Chicken which is not compatible with 1.1.4. Also, SMSD does not work. I installed it, but when I click it, it does not load, and simply goes back to the home screen. As to iSMS, it does not work too. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The version which worked on my iPhone is called "Customize - 1.21 (custom), 2). Source = skylar from iPod Touch Fans. Add Source = "http://touchrepo.com/repo.xml". Customize is not so up to date, but this (patched) version works on 1.1.4

I have successfully upgraded to 1.1.4 and am thankful to all who have contributed to this. I want to know however is there a program like Customize with which I can organize the icons and the dock icons? The previous one can only be installed for firmware 1.1.2 and 1.1.3. Thanks guys.

Monib, please when you have unlocked 1.1.4 like many have done following Wombat instructions please go to installer , then go to packages and there y will find BSD subsystem, install it and that's all, then you go from installer again to categories open iclarified and then install appsupport patch for your 1.1.4 and that's all you have to do, please read wombat's posts, there is many information there. @Wombat & greentea Thanks for your help. I have read all the pages of comments. I will download 1.1.4 and will try it. I only have one question about using WinSCP. I have to have BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH services installed on my iPhone. I cannot download anything from installer. I get 'download failed' message. Will that be solved in 1.1.4 + Where else can I find tutorial to solve my unsupported country problem? except for WinSCP?

Monib, make like sandric, and proceed again, red what wonbat wrote there is a lot of posts from him and people asking him questions, there is a lot of pages about that subject, take your time and you will have your 1.1.4, Good luck

@monib: of course I'm not going to guarantee anything to anyone ;-) If you have not used any other jb, activate or unlock methods other than ziphone then - in my opinion - this tutorial is just right for you. But restore to 1.1.4 instead. You will not need iWorld anymore. There are other tutorials here which will assist you if you are in an unsupported country.

Hi Wombat. It's been days I've been looking for someone who can help me. I have a few questions about my 1.1.2 OTB 04.03.13.G firmware which I have unlocked using ZiPhone 2.4. After unlocking phone and SMS crash ( i downloaded WinSCP but I get 'connection refused error') I cannot also download iWorld - download fails and now after a few days I no SIM card works on it, i get NO SERVICE error on the top. I have reset Network and even ALL settings. I have been recomended to restore to 1.1.3 and then unlock by ZiPhone again. Is it safe? Will that work or not? I would appreciate if you could send me an email in answer to my questions.

Sandric, 1step, connect your iphone to the computer and then open itunes of course you have downloaded already the firmawere 1.1.14 from iclarified and then in Itunes will appear a window in which they ask you to download and install or update and install i do not remember exactly so you click on that but take care do not click on new phone in the same window will appear, then you will realize that your phone will go in recovery mode and then you open ziphne 2.5 and proceed like indicates, please look the post of 3 days ago where Wombat explained so clearly, I made like others ask him and read a lot to arrive to have my 1.1.4 iphone, take your time and trust wombat.

thanks for reply greentea:) so, let me just make sure if im doing this the right way (from what others mentioned on the forum) 1)i connect the iphone and open itunes 2)i click restore and NOT update 3)open the 2.5c ziphone, which i got from the www.downloadziphone.org 4)select the DO IT ALL 5)get the BSB subsystem and SSH which i remember from when i first unlocked it 6)connect again and select "return the backup data" 7)use my new 1.1.4 iphone instead of 1.1.2:)

Sandric let your Sim card in you do not have to put the ATT one, do it as simple as that, please tell me if all was ok. remember do not do as new phone if not you will loose all your data. Look all the pages in with wombat post, it is all clear there.

Sandric : It is exactly the way i have done, open I tunes, install your iphone to the computer, it will appear something like message like update to 1.1.4 click it but not as a new phone, and then you open Ziphone2.5 and proceed like it is explained before, please read old posts, Wombat explained in very clear way. @wombat-someone suggested i upgrade(restore) to 1.1.4 though itumes,then use ziphone to jailbreak...is that the right way to go?will it be bricked if i use itunes?how did tou backup all ur contacts,sms...thnx

I have 1.1.2 otb jailbroken activated then ghunlocked all through iclarified. what is the suggested upgrading method? should i virginize or just restore through ituneswith ipsfw restrore 1.1.4file? then what should I do? run ziphone 2.5c and check do it all? or what? thanks for all feedback :) or should i wait for the tutorial for 3.9 fakeblank and then upgrade? best regards.

@sagi: Then please do me the favor of downloading the actual version directly from http://www.ziphone.org/.....Evtl. you had the 2.5b, which actually did have a bug in it.

i dont want to use do ut all because i dont want to downgrad my BL(4.6) so im using only activation+jb+unlock, but the unlock that way doesnt work in this version (something wrong) and the BB should end as 4.02 pached, but it aint... thats what i ment thanks

@paulclo : I can only repeat the text at the top of the tutorial: any OS, apart from that ZiPhone will - if you use one of the automatic options - put the phone in recovery mode or whatever is required for you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- @pranav: It does not matter if your iPhone is on or off. So if you just wish to unlock, then you must go to the advanced options and tell the SW to just do that-------------------------------- @Nico: there is a tutorial on downloading the *.ipsw file here by iClarified. If you Restore (which is recommended) then you will lose your "stuff". However I was able to use the backup and "nearly" everything was back. At least all the original iPhone "stuff" such as Mail, SMS, Contacts and their settings. Did "lose" some apps, but they were partly "hidden" or needed updating.
