MuscleNerd ha anuncaido que el nuevo Apple TV se le ha logrado hacer el jailbreak utilizando el pograma SHAtter.

AppleTV 2G ha sido SHAtter-iado recibiendo asi el Jailbreak http://is.gd/fDAbc (aunque aun no se sabe como utilizar las aplicaciones!)

Felicidades!

Les haremos saber como lograr este Jailbreak con esta herramienta y como utilizarla tan pronto como sea posible; obviamente mediante un tutorial!

This is great news, AppleTV needs definetely support for matroska .mkv-files and something like plex would be cool. Jailbreak means that developers can now code useful apps for AppleTv. Going to buy one now!

those of you who are crying about jailbreak like little whiny girls, it's not like they stop working on iPhone jailbreak and doing apple tv. they used the same exploit on apple tv, and they already have jailbreak they are just fixing bugs so people like you don't mess up your devices and it makes perfect sense to release one for all tool cause they have their own life other than releasing free tool to serve your freeloading self

What a shame there are so many rude ingrates around. Look guys, if YOU don't value or aren't interested in the AppleTV JB, then just ignore it. There are plently of people who are. Or if you want to influence the development priorities of the DevTeam, then join them and do if from within. Else please don't whine like spoilt little kids when the people who are working to help out people like you don't quite do things fast enough or in the right order for your selfish whims. Now to add something constructive to this debate.... I'm really looking forward to seeing over the coming weeks and month what can be ported to this new box. Obviously one of the first things will be to see if Boxee will run... like the current [old] AppleTV. But i'd be really cool if some of the iPhone Apps could run as well. (Yes... the ARE ways of getting input... but I suspect it won't be straight forward)

Yeah, I agree. Looks great but any updates on the Iphone 4.1 jailbreak? It looks to me that Apple will release the 4.2 ios update before the SHAtter exploit is released. Don't hold your breath everyone. Wait until November...

once again the firmware can NOT patch the SHatter jailbreak. That's what makes it so special it's exploiting the code IN the hardware. The only way for apple to patch it would be to swap out your handset. 4.1 4.2 4.99 it doesn't matter SHAtter would be a jailbreak for life solution. What they are waiting for is packaging it and then testing its stability before a huge release.

Dude they don't get paid for this. they do it for free and there is always fags like you whinning about when the jailbreak will be out. NEXT TIME DONT UPGRADE TO 4.1 when you know that the jailbreak isnt out idiot. they will release it when it will be stable.
