Engadget riferisce che le foto di agenzia per il nuovo iPhone 4 di Verizon mostrano modifiche al design dell'antenna per il nuovo dispositivo. Notare che l'iPhone qui sotto ha quattro tacche nella banda metallica che circonda il telefono.

L'iPhone di Verizon usa una radio CDMA al contrario del GSM dunque è possibile che l'alterazione possa essere correlata solo a quel cambiamento; in ogni caso, avrebbe solo senso che Apple provasse a migliorare le prestazioni dell'antenna dopo Antennagate.

If this design had fixed the Antennagate problem, then Apple would've applied it to AT&T version long time ago instead of producing more iphones with the current design. I think, not having the data and voice at the same time is a bigger problem than the Antennagate issue.

....GSM....CDMA...some how this seem to be different for a reason... GSM...CDMA....why will it be different....don't know, can't spot the reason....

yeah right engadget is clearly on jobs payroll. if they were honest they would replace all old antennas for free

The so-called "Antennagate" controversy stemmed from having the antenna in very close proximity to the hand. Obviously, this phone uses the same design. There's no thick coating or any other sort of change. Tim Cook also explicitly said they did the minimum design changes needed to accommodate CDMA and nothing more. No need to imply anything else without any information to back it up.
