What's wrong with that? I do it all the time. I take mine to another country though - why do you stupid people care? Jelous because others make money perhaps? I buy iPhones and sell them oversees for the last three years! How much do they go oversees you might ask - much more expensive!

I assume it was only illegal because she didn't claim them and pay the applicable taxes. In all of the countries I have been to you have to claim money or goods over $5000 or $10000. I have heard that it is illegal for people in the US to sell or send certain types of technology to certain countries but I don't think that applies in this case.

I guess she was greedy to make money or somebody in her family used her to make money. This is a shame. The judge must fine her and make a news that this behariour is not acceptable. Judge should indict others if they were involved.
