iPhone Dev-Team Updates RedSn0w With Some Bug Fixes

Posted October 16, 2012 at 1:57am by
The iPhone Dev-Team has updated RedSn0w 0.9.15 with some bug fixes for iPhone 3GS and iPad owners.

Version 0.9.15b2 fixes a few issues for 3GS owners: old-bootrom awesomeness is no longer forgotten directly after a restore, and iPad baseband upgrade/downgrade support is fixed (same production date cutoffs apply!). If your 3GS is currently tethered at 6.0 even though you have an old bootrom, just re-run redsn0w's Jailbreak step (no need to restore). Don't forget you can add some pizzaz with your own boot logo or a nerdy verbose boot.

I did it! I had SSH installed on my 3GS oldbootrom from redsn0w 0.9.15b1. And then I followed a tutorial on how to install Cydia by SSH.

Why did you guys upgrade your iPhones? Usually an update only fixes some issues with your device! If everything is working, why update it? I remember I had 3.1 forever. I will not update my 4S from 5.1.1 to iOS 6.

you are partially right about upgrading, I also think that if it's not broken why fix it! and every device is made to run best with that year firmware so for the iPhone 4 I would go with 4.3.3 the iPhone 4S= 5.1.1, but the iPad 3 I will upgrade to 6.0.1 when a jailbreak comes out because iOS 6 adds Siri to the iPad 3, beside that you are absolutely right.

the new redsn0w just came out it lets you downgrade google redsn0w and open devteam and start reading, if u get confused I'm sure somebody will release a video on YouTube just make sure he is using the latest redsn0w 0.9.15.b2, this way you'll know it's no bull.

Still no Cydia. How do you go about adding Cydia if you're on a Windows 7 machine? Anyone?

If you jailbreak your mobile a second time, it will work; I have experienced this.
