Check out this video by Casey Neistat documenting the wait for the new iPhone 5s in New York City.

i waited in line for 10 hours for the first iPhone, also waited in line, outside the mall, in 1999 for the Sega Dreamcast. it's like tailgating. being excited about something and letting that excitement grow along side similarly minded people. when i went out for the 5S launch i found a lot of that excitement and enthusiasm but i also found a lot of tired anxious people who were waiting in line for reasons other than their own desire for a product. that was a little bothersome. the scene at the apple store just before the phones release was also a sight i'd never experienced. beyond excitement it was closer to hysteria. encouraged by hundreds of equally hysterical employees in blue shirts. at the peak of that hysteria i stopped and reminded myself what the impetus was for all of this; a new phone. that warranted a head shake and an eye roll. it's fun to get excited about something, no matter how ridiculous it may seem. i went to the superbowl once and when the patriots lost my best friend started crying. i can understand sleeping on the street for a new toy more than i can crying over a professional sports game.. it takes all kinds i suppose.

i love apple ok ...i like their design & Hardware... but this is stupid waiting for a phone ...what a wast ..they wasting their time as well as money ...crazy people

This is just trends of Apple now but people need to realize its not worth that much anymore. Back in the days iphone 4 was a big issue and people were eager to buy them. But since then the value of iphones dropped drasticaly. Think about how many people return their ipad 4s, ipad mini, and iphone 5. People thought they could make money by reselling them. But even ebay's price for the new launch idevices dropped on day 1.

What is so different about apple now? Nothing, they still win awards since iPhone 1, they still rank the top os, best smartphone, and the new Mac Pro, come on? Where have you been, the s galaxy where Samsung is doing better? Think again, they catch up every time apple comes up with anything, like the watch for example and the brokia, no one uses that shit! Think about the charts they just presented at their keynote, all you did was dream where the opposite sounds true!

You're kidding right?? We have the longest lines for the iPhones other than NY. You didn't see the news for the past 6 years every launch day? Stop kidding yourself.

Walked in to AT&T Friday at 2pm(no lines) and bought a 5s for my wife and myself. I fear for society!!!!
