I've been doing this for 3 hrs now, but still it's stuck in the "waiting for reboot" part. I tried to unplug and plug my iPod again and again but it still didn't work. What will I do now?!

I've unplugged my iPod touch from the computer because the jailbreak process appears to get stuck during a "waiting for reboot stage". I've plugged my itouch back, but now it isn't working.

I could not get this jailbreak to work with my ipod touch. It seemed like a really nice jail break, real short but did not work. If someone knows how to make this work please add comment for future users and if you could also sent me an email that would be great.

Matt, Unfortunately, I believe you have to downgrade to an earlier OS. I had the same problem. I upgraded to 3.0 thinking it was going to be sweet only to find out I could not jailbreak. I ended up going back to 2.2.1 and this client worked like a CHARM! If you can somehow downgrade to 2.2.1 (5H11a), then you should have no problem. Last time I checked they were having some problems with jailbreaking the 3.0 OS, but I could be wrong by now. Hope this helps.

Hello, anyone who had positive results with this. How long did it take for the jail break to work (while it's showing the apple after rebooting). I don't know whether I should try again, or see what happens if I wait. Please help!

No, everyone, I do not reccomend this. It does work, but before it did it crashed my iTouch completely and I was so scared. That would be 300 dollars down the drain. When you restore it, it takes a couple hours, and its definately NOT supposed to take that long. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE wait for QuickPwn to come out with a software to put on Mac. The DevTeam is working on it, so please dont take this risk.

it worked. it's the only one that's worked for me. but what can Cydia do? It can't get me free apps in the app store. it has a select few of apps and themes. it's not great. can i switch what program is downloaded in so i can have installer and those custom build .ipsw like in pwnageTool?

Seriously this quickpwner is SOOO much faster than the 20 steps one. i've tried following all the steps and got stuck twice, but finally i,ve tried this quick one and took me like 5 min instead of an hour and a half!

@ iClarified or to anyone who can answer this. If I jailbreak my iPod, will I still be able to use it with iTunes for my music and everything else? I basically just want Cydia (does Installer exist anymore) to download some apps but thats about the extent of what I want to do. Also, after jailbreaking, if I dont like it or something happens, can I restore my iPod back to the factory settings and be safe and good to go? never done this before and I know very little. Thanks

SnaKe - September 4, 2009 at 12:35am
Yes, you can restore your factory settings if you don't like Cydia (which I guaruntee you will if you find the right apps ;]). You can still use iTunes and everything, and Installer is called Installous now (look it up on youtube).

After going through this process several times, I guess I'm just going to sit and wait. After I've gone through all the steps, my iPod will turn off and back on, then stay on the apple logo for a while. How long should I have to wait for the iPod to boot up? If none of this ends up working, how do I get my iPod back?

i just about to write that the jailbreak did not work...but then....it WORKED...!!! I got the cyndia on the ipod now after second time trying to jail break it...you've got to give it some time...for those who ipod touch jail break did not work...i suggest you do it again...after your first try, don't disconnect your ipod, just close the terminal and click "pwn the ipod 2g icon again"...the terminal will come up and will try to do the jail break again...follow through the steps...and wait for 10-15 mins...it worked for me...it shoud for you...GOOD LUCK...

I was able to get through the process. But all it does is displays the Apple Logo and then just keeps re-starting over and over and over again. I was not successfull :( I tried twice but not so much.
