Jonathan Ive has reportedly been heard saying that Switzerland is in trouble when excitedly talking about the iWatch. The tidbit was relayed by Nick Bilton for the New York Times.
According to a designer who works at Apple, Jonathan Ive, Apple’s design chief, in bragging about how cool he thought the iWatch was shaping up to be, gleefully said Switzerland is in trouble — though he chose a much bolder term for “trouble” to express how he thought the watchmaking nation might be in a tough predicament when Apple’s watch comes out.

How can any digital watch compete with Rolex?
0
gamerscul9870 - September 4, 2014 at 3:48pm
Rolex is just time. Digitalis you can edit and see more things in it like date, temperature, location, etc. like it's not obvious enough.

You mean to say a 400 dollar watch can be compared to a 50,000 dollar one?

gamerscul9870 - September 4, 2014 at 8:51pm
Don't change the subject. You meant watches and so did I, not costs.

Still beats me how Switzerland can be in trouble! People who want classy time pieces will always buy Switz watches.

Ryan,
I sold my Rolex daytona as i now wear a pebble.
Just sayin'

Ryan - September 4, 2014 at 12:34pm
I for one like things that stand the test of time. I can pass my Daytona or Deepsea onto someone when I go......you can't do that with some pebble or iwatch.......it's just tat in my opinion.
