Thats one way to mile some more $$... I mean come on 64 bit 2 core CPU with 1 gig of ram??? No way they can possibly totally use the fullpower power of the CPU with that amount of ram and I though 64bit CPU's min is 4gb.... The only sad thing about Apple is their apps, since most app updated are locked/requires the latest iOS OS always... Those stuck at iOS 6/5 aint gonna get an update to their apps if there ever will, specifically those ipod 4g/iphone 3gs/4... and soon 4s..

Many plan to upgrade to the new iPhones so it won't be as sad. Besides nearly every ipad supports them.

I wonder, does Samsung or other Android phones have a blog? I've never understood what brings this people to an iPhone blog. Must have inferiority complex or something.

Now iSheep will try to justify how 1gb ram is enough and theirs no need for more ram, just how they used to say 4in screen was more than enough because it is was larger they wouldnt be able to use phone with just one hand, but on friday they went in iSheep herds to buy a bigger phone because now bigger is better. Dumb and dumberer with every new gen released

now assamsheeps will brag how better they think their processors are even though they still can't outpace iphone even in sales. Just how they thought size is everything after all the sales their wannabe junk thought it was because bigger screen is not enough. What about what goes inside that makes it perfect? It's like saying you'll stay sick inside for the show but look good outside. But then comes the ads. Where they are still brainwashed by the master of mupindfoolish cults around, just blinded to listen to could've would've should've bull shit. Delusional and mindless year after year.

Nobody has to justify, it's all in the proof. The latest Galaxy S 5 has quad core and 2 gig of Ram. iPhone 6 plus has dual core core and 1 gig of the Ram. Benchmark test proves, IPHONE BEATS SAMSUNG even with half the specs. How silly to think, designing a product without optimizing the hardware with the software. Samsung doesn't even designed their own OS.

Exactly. That explains s5 and 5s. Samsung always catching up and forever stays behind.

I don't understand Apple lemmings. "Why jump 10 steps ahead" - that was always Apple's claim they are cutting edge, we are the best now they say is better to launch products which just barely meet todays tech and some cases still behind and that is fine. Curious. People want to be told what they can use like "big brother" the apple garden, people want to be NOT ALLOWED to plug devices or memory into their own devices. People want to be led around but their noses and spill the company line. Man Apple sounds more and more like big brother and partially a cult - with all those redeeming qualities.

What you have to understand is when you buy a galaxy s by Samsung, you buy that phone fir its gimmicky feature..sadly your stuck on the same version until you buy another Galaxy with another gimmicky feature. 4S goes back 3-4 years and it gets ios8, can you say the same on Galaxy s 2 or 3?

Android does that too. Even on lower end phones. GS2 gets the latest KitKat from Cyanogenmod whilst the 1st gen iPad doesn't get past 5.1.1.

Late to the party for what? The past iphone had good batteries compared to your faulty junk yet some things you came out with hey have expanded for you. You can always thanks Apple for bringing you here since you also copy iphones newest features.

Apple is quite smart, the whole 1 gb ram is smart. Why jump 10 steps ahead. Do 1 jump at a time, maximize profits. Release a phone almost twice a year. Making billions. 6S 6PlusS will probably have 2gb ram. Who knows. As long as there OS keeps it smooth and fast. Im not complaining. Business 101.

Isn't APPLE still behind the curve. 1GB of Ram - really, my grand mom uses more on here home computer. larger screen - after how many yrs. still cannot multi-task - 1 GB ram still way behind

Hey Grandma, read much on optimization of hardware to software technology? It's been Appple trademark to be better by performance and quality not some silly ideas to try to impress you when it actually doesn't work. If the OS is not optimized to work in conjunction with hardware then what's the point? When the phones fingerprint security barely operates and is only unidirectional, then what's the point? You can put 4 gig on a Samsung product and still apples benchmark will beat the less optimized phone.

iPhone 6 Plus and IOS 8 will bring the Android world to it's knees. Droid is now the minor leagues.

read about android L
read about android L - September 19, 2014 at 10:02pm
There is a reason why android L is secretly the BEST untold secret. I'll admit android has been behind in the software but that was because of a compiler called "dalvik". Experts in forums said it was impossible to switch from this "dalvik" compiler to a more efficient compiler like iOS and Windows phones. Thus you see some slight lag in android. Android has since been fitted with top of the line processors, POWERful processors and lots of ram! Google's engineers have changed the game with android L and this is only the beginning. Android Runtime aka "ART" is in the beta versions available in to developers with the Nexus 5. People are seeing 35% increases in ON-SCREEN time! ON-SCREEN! This translates to about an extra 6-8 hours in a 24 hour day! "Dalvik" has always been the rate limiting step of android, imagine downloading an app and pressing on that app to open up. With "dalvik" the app is scattered all over the phone, and hurry to assemble as you press the app and the app opens. This takes precisious processing power and battery life. "Dalvik" also worked as a Virtual Machine placing a second layer on top of android. So when you pressed the app to open, the language would translate to android then android would translate to activating the app. Its like an emulator playing on your computer, it takes mad processing power and battery. Now here's what happens with ART Android Runtime: the apps are downloaded already glued together, there is no scattering of apps, no flurry of bits and pieces of the app coming together to opening the app when you press it. It will open instantly because the app is already considered open YET completely dormant! the VM is removed so now the press translates the language directly to the hardware which instantaneously opens the app. Now I don't think Android L will be able to fully optimize this power right at release, but with time after release, they will get it right! Theoretically, the switch from "dalvik" to ART would one day push your android to 2x speed and 2x battery life. Since android is able to keep up fairly well right now with iOS... I wonder what would happen when ART is completely optimized?

Just read about that article too. Its an interesting article. I just bought the iphone 6+ because I have been complaining about the screen size since forever. Hopefully it comes out great! As for Android L, I believe if you want the best experience closes to iOS or at least a CLEAN unadulterated android, go for the Nexus! I had the nexus 5 when it first came out, it was a great phone, I just had to get the ip6+ because it was the biggest change since forever! I'll hold onto my nexus 5 and wait for this android L to be installed into it. I might even make a review on my youtube video about comparing the 2

You sir, do no know the value, or resale value of iPhones. If you were smart you would know jumping to a new iPhone every time they release a new one is not much of a difference. 5S retails at 550, but people on eBay are selling used ones for 450. How much for your silly used droid?
