Diamond Testing the Apple Watch for Sapphire Crystal [Video]

Unbox Therapy has posted a new video which takes a Diamond Tester to the Apple Watch to check if it's really using sapphire crystal display glass.

Various "watch people" expressed concern that the Apple Watch may feature inferior materials. I decided to test the Apple Watch in an effort to uncover the truth.

Apparently, the unique shape of the Apple Watch's display glass led to some doubt about whether it was truly sapphire crystal.

Take a look at the video below to see the results. You may also be interested in DisplayMate's analysis of the Apple Watch OLED display.

Not really, my 5 year old Omega Speedmaster has a curved dome Sapphire Crystal as well, just because a lot of first time watch wearers are noticing a first doesn't mean, it hasn't been done before.

No, people are assuming it's an innovation which it is not, it's being implied that this is some how unusual, and I meant to say it's not.
