Microsoft has announced that students can purchase Windows 7 for a special price of $29.99.

To qualify you must have a valid .EDU e-mail OR an e-mail address through one of the educational institutions listed here.


The version of Windows offered is Windows 7 Home Edition.

Way to go Microsoft, you're bound to gain so much market share by discounting your OS and selling it to students only. If Windows 7 is so great why isn't it $29 for everyone? I'll stick with my OS X Snow Leopard thanks.
