Apple has shelved its plans to bring a Smart Connector to the iPhone 7, reports Macotakara.
The site posted the following statement earlier today (via Google Translate).
In March 2016, Bastillepost for three of the holes you think that the Smart Connector in the housing picture is the iPhone 7 Plus, which has been published, Smart Connector mounting on the next iPhone 7 · iPhone 7 Plus is a pattern that has been shelved.
There have been conflicting reports on whether or not Apple is going to equip its next generation device with a Smart Connector. Notably, it was Macotakara who also claimed that leaked photos of an iPhone with a Smart Connector were real.
First the headphone plug stays and now the smart connector is also out so what is left over? ( another iPhone 6S which looks uglier ) Conclusion is that staying with the 6S for another year is preferable and as good as the 6S is there is absolutely no reason to replace it with the same phone just because it's name is iPhone 7, better yet wait to 8 or at least 7S.
Does it really seem that way though? Isn't it perhaps rather hurried to draw conclusions on whether will iPhone 7 be better based on conflicting rumours 5 months before launch?
If there is something I learned from this rumours, its that they were always true. In May/June all the rumours are almost 100% accurate so I am confident we can make the conclusion.
I would like to know which rumors from May/June were NOT true in the past. Because from May and on we can "build" the iPhone Apple will introduce in September
You say it's uglier than the 6s yet we still don't have finalized results yet between the estimated schematics of the plus and rumors that are mashed together, but to say a smart connector to be scrapped will be the only reason to stay on the 6s so far when we don't know what it is for yet? There's so much Tim Cook, said that amazing things are coming to iPhone 7 even if it isn't a smart connector, but don't give your hopes up on what you think!
Nah... 7 won't look like 6 or 6S. 4,5,6 all have been trailblazers. S(peed)-models are then the runner-ups with some bumped specs. Never bothered with the S's, probably never will.
