Orbicule has announced Melatonin 1.0, an innovative and fun alarm clock application for iPhone and iPod touch. Melatonin lets you wake up with the sun, gradually increasing 'sunlight' on the iPhone to offer a smoother wakeup experience. To make the natural setting complete, the application offers high-quality nature sounds and three fun themes to choose from.
"Before the alarm sounds, the increasing light starts peeking through your eyelids", said Peter Schols, president of Orbicule. "The light will send signals to your brain to stop producing melatonin, a sleep inducing hormone: as a result you will feel less sleepy and you will have more energy"
The application offers the same smooth experience when going to sleep: it provides a sleep timer that plays natural sounds or iPod music while the sun sets and the light fades out. In addition to providing a smooth wakeup experience, Melatonin puts boring alarm clocks to sleep by providing beautiful and fun cartoon graphics.
Language Support: * US English, French, German, Japanese and Dutch
Pricing and Availability: Melatonin 1.0 is only $0.99 USD (0.79 Euro) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.
