Unc0ver Jailbreak of iOS 12.4 Gets Partial Support for A12 and A12X Devices

The unc0ver jailbreak of iOS 12.4 has been updated with partial support for A12 and A12X devices including the iPhone XS and iPhone XR.

Unc0ver was recently updated to support iOS 12.4 on A7-A11 devices, marking the first time in quite a while that a jailbreak has worked on a current and signed firmware version.

While unc0ver still doesn't support code injection on A12-A12X devices, it does enable SSH, support for arbitrary unsigned code execution, and more.

08/22/2019 - v3.5.4 was released for production with the following changes:
● Add full-fledged SSH support with root-shell for A12-A12X devices on iOS 12.1.3-12.4
● Add support for arbitrary unsigned code execution on A12-A12 devices on iOS 12.1.3-12.4 (Note: Object files will have to be signed with a CMS blob using the codesign utility)
● Add support for running expired or revoked apps on A12-A12X devices on iOS 12.1.3-12.4
● Fix instant or random reboots after jailbreaking with the SockPuppet3.0 exploit on A7-A12X devices on iOS 11.0-12.4

A 3.5.5 update has already been released to address some issues introduced in 3.5.4 and to fix iOS 11 support.

Most people don’t jailbreak like they used to. But I do like the 5 docks and SpringtOptimizer and more tweaks. I just like to jailbreak; it’s my device, I’ve paid $1200 for this thing.

Maybe because the standards are lower? Back in the day when the first attempt did the job. Nowadays, you get a bottle of beer and wait and retry, wait and retry for a considerable length of time. I refuse to believe that a full jaibreak is not feasible ! Nowadays, we have to pray and carry power units to keep the device from running out and go through the whole process again!
