Estas são as instruções de como fazer jailbreak em seu iPod Touch 4G no firmware 4.3.1 usando RedSn0w para Windows. A versão deste tutorial para Mac está aqui.

Passo Um
Crie uma pasta em seu desktop chamada Pwnage

Faça download do RedSn0w aqui e coloque-o na pasta Pwnage. Enquanto isso, faça download do último firmware 4.3.1 abaixo e coloque-o na mesma pasta.

4.3.1 (4G): iPod4,1_4.3.1_8G4_Restore.ipsw

Extraia o arquivo zip do RedSn0w na mesma pasta.

Passo Dois
Conecte seu iPod Touch ao computador e abra o iTunes.

Selecione seu iPod Touch na lista de dispositivos à esquerda. Agora segure a tecla Shift e clique no botão Restore. É preferível restaurar pois não criará espaço desnecessário em seu iPod Touch.

Navegue até a pasta Pwnage em seu desktop e selecione o firmware ipsw 4.3.1. Clique em Open para continuar.

Passo Três
Assim que o iTunes terminar o update de seu iPod Touch para o firmware desejado, abra a pasta Pwnage em seu desktop e rode o arquivo redsn0w na pasta RedSn0w que extraimos antes.

Passo Quatro
Quando o RedSn0w abrir, clique no botão Browse

Passo Cinco
Selecione o firmware ipsw 4.3.1 que colocamos na pasta Pwnage de nosso desktop e clique em Open.

Passo Seis
Assim que o firmware for verificado clique no botão Next para continuar.

Passo Sete
RedSn0w agora preparará os dados do jailbreak

Passo Oito
Nesta janela você pode selecionar as opções de jailbreak que desejar.

Tenha certeza que o Cydia esteja selecionado e clique no botão Next para continuar.

Passo Nove
Conecte seu iPod Touch ao computador e tenha certeza que esteja DESLIGADO. Clique no botão Next

Passo Dez
RedSn0w agorá o guiará para entrar em modo DFU. Você pode encontrar mais ajuda sobre modo DFU aqui

Segure os botões Home e Power por 10 segundos.

Solte o botão Power e conitnue segurando o Home até o RedSn0w detectar o dispositivo.

Passo Onze
Seu iPod Touch irá reiniciar.

Passo Doze
RedSn0w iniciará o upload do novo disco RAM e Kernel.

Passo Treze
Assim que isto estiver completo você será notificado que o RedSnow está feito. Clique no botão Finish. Quando seu iPod terminar de reiniciar (aproximadamente 5 minutos) estará jailbroken com o Cydia na SpringBoard.

hw do i change th restore file to that cube? in itune it dont pick up the zip file, i extractd it but wat do i choose???? pls asap, i hav an ipod touch os 4.3

i tried this jailbreak everything goes well UNTILL it reboots then gets stuck at the apple logo... what do i do.. im confident i did everything correctly cause i tried t several times and on both mac and windows machines.. my ipod is a 4G and is on 4.3.2. PLEASE HELP!

it says download the latest 4.3.2 firmware... but what if my iPod touch is brand new which is already running on iOS 4.3.2. do I download the firmware too? can i know how is it done if my ipod is already running on 4.3.2... thanks in advance... :D

if your device is already 4.3.2 than skip the updating part thing. also yes you have to download the ipsw to be able to load it up with redsnow . cheers :)

it works up until the reboot after everything downloads and after it finishes rebooting it just goes to a screen that shows a picture telling you to connect the usb cable to itunes. what is going on here? can anybody help

Help me, i stuck at "exploiting using limera1n" while jailbreaking my ipod touch 3g 4.3.1. Ive tried almost every method for "stuck at uploading ramdisc".

problem solved, there are actually different versions of firmware 4.3.1, make sure while jailbreaking use the firmware for specified ipod generation, 4 or 3 generation, if not, while jailbreaking using redsn0w, it will get stuck at "exploiting using limera1n".

do we need to restore device to 4.3.1 in order to jb cuz in the new update rc11 of redsnow it say it works on existing jb i tried it on my itouch on 4.1 jb bt nothing happen no error i got all the black screen in which there r lot of command being typed bt firmware didnt change nothing happened to my itouch plz reply

Make sure to run RedSn0w as administrator in Windows XP compatibility.

how do i make the ipsw look like a lego block because it just downloads as a zip file and redsnow keeps crashing with a windows saying that it stopped working ? any help would be greaty appreicated

Rename the extension to .ipsw Windows seems to pair how it's compresed with the .zip extension, so no big deal.

go to redsn0w properties and set it to Windows XP (service pack 3) Compatibility mode and run as administrator.....it should work then.. it workd for me everything was done in less then 5 mins

@Steven Make sure you're running redsn0w as admin (if applicable). Mine hung at the upload for a solid 10 minutes before I cancelled and re-ran it as admin.

same here, says uploading ramdisk with only 2 bars. No progress past that.
