iPadOS 27 is compatible with iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation and later), iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation and later), iPad Air 4th generation and later, iPad 9th generation and later, iPad (A16), and iPad mini 6th generation and later.

Which iPads Are Not Supported?
If your iPad is not listed above, it will not be able to run iPadOS 27. That includes older models such as the first-generation 11-inch iPad Pro, third-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iPad Air 3, iPad 8 and earlier, and iPad mini 5 and earlier.
Apple Intelligence Compatibility
Not every iPadOS 27 feature is available on every compatible iPad. Apple Intelligence requires iPad mini (A17 Pro) or an iPad model with M1 and later. Some of the most advanced on-device Apple Intelligence features require an iPad model with M4 and later and at least 12GB of unified memory.
When Will iPadOS 27 Be Released?
iPadOS 27 is coming this fall as a free software update. Apple has released the first developer beta, with additional beta releases expected before the public launch.
