watchOS 27 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, and Apple Watch SE 3. It also requires an iPhone 11 or later, or iPhone SE (2nd generation or later), running iOS 27.

Which Apple Watch Models Are Not Supported?

If your Apple Watch is not listed above, it will not be able to run watchOS 27. That means Apple Watch Series 8 and earlier, Apple Watch Ultra 1, and earlier Apple Watch SE models are not supported.

Apple Intelligence and Siri AI Compatibility

Apple Intelligence features on watchOS 27 require Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later, or Apple Watch SE 3 when paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone nearby. Some Siri AI features also require a supported language and device settings.

When Will watchOS 27 Be Released?

watchOS 27 is coming this fall as a free software update. Apple has released the first developer beta, with more beta releases expected before the public launch.
