Pikachu Meets Tim Cook and John Ternus at Apple Park [Video]

Pikachu stopped by Apple Park on Thursday as Tim Cook introduced the Pokémon team to incoming CEO John Ternus. A video shared on X shows the Pokémon mascot wandering the campus before meeting with Ternus, Cook, and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

Cook wrote: "Today's agenda at Apple Park: Introduce the @Pokemon team to John, talk gaming, and politely ask Pikachu to stay out of the pond. Two out of three were accomplished."


Neither Apple nor The Pokémon Company has said why the Pokémon team was at Apple Park.

The clip shows Pikachu dancing under the rainbow arch, checking out the pond referenced in the joke, and trying to pick an apple from the orchard. The visit comes just five days before Ternus is set to take over as CEO on September 1.

Cook also met Pikachu during a September 2025 trip to Japan for the reopening of Apple Ginza.
