Apple Named First-Ever Brand Inductee to Creative Hall of Fame

The One Club for Creativity has named Apple the first inductee of its new Brand Hall of Fame, part of the organization's Creative Hall of Fame and the first time a company has been honored in that hall since it was formed in 1961.

"It's an incredible honor for Apple to join the Creative Hall of Fame, because imagination is woven into everything we do. It drives how we innovate, how we design, and how we work every day to empower people everywhere to create their own extraordinary things," Tim Cook said in a statement. "We're grateful to be recognized by an institution that has championed creative voices for so many generations."



The recognition covers 50 years of design, branding, and communications work. The club points to the "1984" Super Bowl commercial for the original Macintosh, the late-1990s "Think Different" campaign, the "iPod Silhouettes" and "Get a Mac" ads from the early 2000s, and more recent work including "Shot on iPhone," now in its 11th year, and "Privacy, that's iPhone," now in its eighth year. It also cites holiday films "Misunderstood" and "Fuzzy Feelings," accessibility work "I Am the Greatest" and "I'm Not Remarkable," and the HomePod film "Welcome Home."


Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was inducted into the Creative Hall of Fame in 2012. Apple and its agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab have also won The One Show's Penta Pencil award in 2017 and 2026, given to a brand and agency for outstanding creative work over five years.

The organization established the Brand Hall of Fame to recognize brands with longstanding records of creative excellence, bold ideas, and contribution to culture. Every two years, it will evaluate more than a century of The One Show and ADC Annual Awards winners to shortlist candidates for a board vote.

The award will be presented at a black-tie gala September 16, 2026 at Capitale New York. Alongside Apple, this year's individual Creative Hall of Fame inductees include Rosie Arnold, Janet Champ, John C Jay, Caroline R. Jones, Joyce King Thomas, and Piyush Pandey, while Michael Conrad will enter the Educators Hall of Fame.
