Apple TV Sets January 29, 2027 Premiere for Fleetwood Mac Documentary 'The Chain'

Apple TV has set January 29, 2027, as the premiere date for its first fully authorized Fleetwood Mac documentary, now titled 'Fleetwood Mac: The Chain.' Frank Marshall directs the film, which tells the band's story through the perspectives of the lineup behind 'Rumours.'

The documentary brings together material from Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks. It covers the group's recordings and tours using exclusive new interviews and previously unseen footage, while examining the personal tensions that shaped its history.

Marshall also produces through The Kennedy/Marshall Company, alongside producers from White Horse Pictures. Mark Monroe wrote the film and serves as an executive producer.

The title comes from 'The Chain,' the only song on 'Rumours' credited to all five members. The film's debut falls in the album's 50th anniversary year.
