Nitrous is a new tweak from Joe Jordan that unlocks the Nitro Javascript engine to give third party iPhone apps like Google Chrome a speed boost.
The Nitro JavaScript engine is an advanced bytecode JavaScript engine that makes web browsing even faster, and it's what powers Safari on OS X and iOS. The Nitro JavaScript engine takes advantage of the multiple processor cores on your Mac, reducing pauses caused by memory allocation.
Normally, Nitro is only available to Apple apps such as Safari and iBooks. Nitrous lets you grant this access to other apps.
Nitro dramatically improves JavaScript performance in WebKit-heavy applications like Chrome and Facebook.
You can get Nitrous from the Cydia Store for $0.99.
