Apple Seeks U.S. Ban on 8 Samsung Devices

Posted August 27, 2012 at 7:27pm by iClarified
Following its win over Samsung in court, Apple is now seeking to have 8 Samsung devices banned in the United States.

The jury found that 28 Samsung devices infringed on Apple's patents; however, Apple is only seeking an injunction on the following:
● Galaxy S 4G
● Galaxy S2 (AT&T)
● Galaxy S2 (Skyrocket)
● Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)
● Galaxy S2 Epic 4G
● Galaxy S Showcase
● Droid Charge
● Galaxy Prevail

It appears as though Apple is targeting devices that it will compete against. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for September 20th.

Back to making decent, unique phones/devices now. Patiently awaiting the next iPhone. And it better have a bigger/wider screen. ☺

Anyone who thinks Samsung didn't steal anything from Apple, take a look at what Samsung phones looked like and functioned like before the iPhone. That settles it. They ripped them off, and for good reason: They're the best. Some say Apples steals ideas from others too-- but what other patents do they infringe upon? No one. If they see a technology they want to integrate, they buy it (Siri for example) and pay those who created that technology for their creation. There are plenty of companies out there that think it's easier and cheaper to knock off products after someone else (Apple) spends BILLIONS of dollars and countless years of research and development, so they can step in and profit from it. It's lazy. It's bad business. It's unethical. It's greedy. I'm glad Apple won and earned a "royalty" for the products they helped Samsung design. They deserve it and they owe it to their shareholders to protect their company. They're not #1 for nothing...

I think that's taking it just a bit too far. I can understand why they want to do it.
