archer1702,
Please read before you post such a comment.
It is perfectly legal to unlock the phone.
The DEV Team is giving free software that does not infringe on any rights.
What they are giving you is perfectly legal.

I emailed the site asking if their method is the same as yellowsn0w. Here's the reply:"Hi
Yes it is... You can use our support service if you wish or get it for free at blog.iPhone-dev.org
Up to you!
Kind regards,
Jody Sanders"

@t11chb,
There is only one soft "unlock" in the world for the iphone 3g and that is yellowsn0w from the Dev Team and it is free for non-commercial use.
The picture there is next to the iphone 2G; and for what it's worth; that unlock is also from the Dev Team.
Jody Sanders is a scum bag

I'm getting pissed off at this Jody guy. I know how much time the Dev guys spent on making the iPhone 3G release and he is taking all the credit for it and even selling it and it that wasn't bad enough. It's for the second time. If I lived in England I would track him down and hit him as hard as I could.

"Refunds will not be issued if you have previously attemped to unlock the iPhone with another method not from us and failed as there is a limit on how many attempts can be made."
Lollers.
Anyhow, to the previous poster, thats probably an old screenshot from their 2G scam. What a bunch of scumbags :(
