Bloomberg is confirming reports that Samsung will unveil a smartwatch on September 4th, two days before the IFA consumer electronics show begins in Berlin.
Samsung Electronics Co. will introduce a wristwatch-like device named the Galaxy Gear next month that can make phone calls, surf the Web and handle e-mails, according to two people familiar with the matter. The Galaxy Gear will be powered by Google Inc.’s Android operating system and go on sale this year to beat a potentially competing product from Apple Inc., the people said.
The report follows an earlier one from SamMobile which said the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch will be unveiled alongside the new Galaxy Note III.
Bloomberg does not believe the device will have a flexible but says the company is continuing to work on developing devices with bendable screens.
Well. Why dont you try to think more logical. This site is about apple products and news. And im sure 99% users on this site owns atleast one apple products other wise why would they be here wasting their time?
Anyway even myself owns about 7 apple products in my house. And personally, im willing to switch to other platforms in one or two years. Apple is dead. Lets face it. 79th rank innovative company?? Fell all the way from 5th? We can already tell they aint making any good stuffs. Heck, they are barely even catching up to others.
No innovative products, jb community is dead, and now all they have left is couple of idiotic apple fan boys and professional media makers. But even media productions are moving towards PCs(due to non upgradable mac pro). I been in jb scene for a quiet long time and i could call myself sorta apple fan boys back then. But these non logical fan boys here makes me to turn back. Thank you
the guy who owns the patent wins. it doesnt matter who makes it first, in america its about patent pending. you dont have that then you dont have proof. if you think about it,put it on paper, make a prototype, and patent it then its your ideas. without that good luck in court
The nano 6 was released just for the sole purpose of cranking up the smart watch war. Now Apple sits back while others quickly come out with half-ass products, then Apple comes back and "reinvents". (Puts their already patented, designed and production ready watch on the market)
