If I'm getting this right, this basically means jailbreak apps without jailbreak? If so, what are the pros/cons of each. I've jailbroken, but if this works the same, I might as well have an official iphone that works with the cool apps. Anyone know if winterboard, categories, or backgrounder work with this?

winterboard, categories, or backgrounder will not work unless you down load the DPKG/APT portion of this trash. In that case you might as well use Cydia Instead. Cydia is safer even RipDev will say it is not and if the system needs to be open for writing anyway why not use on that has been tested, better implemented, bug free and no cost.
Just my @ cents

Typical RipDev nonsense. Idea sounds excellent. Execution is rubbish. I don't think that they have a beta testing department at all, or they try testing the software on a zx spectrum (or the hobbit as it was known in russia).
The last time I tried Kate on my iphone, I had to restore after not installing it for nearly 6 months, because I spent a week trying to install, crash and restore over and over again.

You could have removed it, you just didn't know how. But granted it should be simpler. Well I like the concept, iBrickr if you recall was similar, the pxl repo is still online btw ;)
We'll see how this compares after a few weeks of feedback and updates.
