Launch day stock of the Apple Watch will be heavily constrained at Apple Stores in the United States with priority given to reservations, according to 9to5Mac sources.
If you're look to purchase a particular Apple Watch model at launch you should make an Apple Store reservation or pre-order online. Since there are a number of different models, inventory will be very limited at launch and availability for walk-in purchases will be very tight.
As one source at a flagship Apple Store said, “we’re told to treat launch day as if there will be no walk-in stock.” That doesn’t necessarily mean there will be absolutely zero Apple Watch units to buy at launch if you don’t have a reservation, just that the specific Apple Watch variant a person wants will be far harder to come by at launch than some previous iPhone models.
Inventory will vary depending on store location but we strongly recommend pre-ordering the device. Pre-orders start on April 10th. Customers will be able visit Apple Stores to try on the device starting April 10th as well. Try-on appointments will last for approximately 15 minutes and customers are advised to make a book a time for that if possible.
Sources say that the Personal Pickup service that lets you order online and quickly pick up at the store will be unavailable for the time being. That may change as more inventory becomes available. The watch will officially launch on April 24th in nine countries.
Apple has already started approving apps with Apple Watch support which users will presumably be able to try out on April 10th. You can follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
Way too expensive even at lowest price $349 that I don't have extra cash to throw around! It's just like an extension of the phone and I won't be too lazy to take my phone out of the pocket to see who's calling!!
The 349$ price can get me the gonna be released this April High End but affordable/reasonably priced "Asus Zenfone 2" Quadcore(w/ HT) 2.4ghz intel atom z3xxx, 4gb ram, 32/64gb internal storage+expandable via microSD, 13mp(rear)/5mp(front), 3k+mah battery, gorilla glass 4,etc... Which I'm gonna use alternatively w/ my iPhone 6...
Wow, really? I didn't know that! I believe there're so many other ways to spend $349 to make it worthy than on the iWatch. I will only buy it if it can do EVERYTHING my iphone can, and still, I will only use it on weekends when I'm out and about or when I go clubbing.
Yup its true!!! Just checked out Asus site/news. They have been making reasonably priced high-end/spec't products that is more than/less half price of any other products, which I mean not only Apples but Samsung/HTC/Sony/etc. Their design looks good aswell. Their mid-low end products are cheaper aswell for anyone who are interested.
