The Apple Watch Display Time Can Be Set a Few Minutes Fast

Posted April 11, 2015 at 8:53am by iClarified
If you're often running late and set your clocks ahead by a few minutes to hopefully arrive on time, you may want to use this newly discovered feature of the Apple Watch.

The smartwatch has a setting which lets you move the clock face display time ahead by a few minutes to essentially trick yourself into thinking its later than it really is, says 9to5Mac.

Apple notes, however, that only the information displayed on your clock face is affected by adjusting the time via this setting. All notifications and alerts will still come in at the correct time. With this feature, users are simply moving displayed time ahead of the actual time in one minute intervals.

Is this something you could consider a useful feature? Let us know what you think below. We'll have many more details on the Apple Watch ahead of its April 24th launch.

Yes it would benefit me. I hate working on the clock for free. Clock in is 6:00am. Company considers you late at 6:16. So I clock in at 6:15 Time card reflects 6:00 clock in time. When I arrive to work I like using my time. When I leave I go off the real time. FULLTIME BABY!!

This has been possible on the iPhone for years. Just have to not select the automatic time switch and set the time. It's nothing new, but a great feature to have.

That's exactly how I feel when I read the comments of people bashing and scrutinizing Apple products on this news site. I don't think there are any Apple enthusiasts that go on Android forums and insult their companies and products. It just seems to me that people don't have anything to do with their time. Thanks to all the useful and meaning comments of our fellow Apple followers. God bless and greetings here from South Africa!

Charge it twice a day or not, I still got the charging on me anywhere I go with Ampy. Not to mention if you take care of it or have enough for a watch like this it will not be thrown away in years. Hence iPhone 2g is used to this day even if those have enough of iOS features from iOS 7.

@ Guy. Totally agree with you. If u hate apple u shouldn't be reading iClarified in the first place. And if you do read iClarified and hate apple at least be respectful if u gonna comment. People act like Apple stole their girlfriend or something.

Still originated in the U.S. Running with an OS made in the U.S. And does more than what old school junk like yours can.

Designed by Apple in California from components sourced world wide and manufactured under strict control in China. There is nothing wrong with a Casio however it's not really the same thing. The Apple Watch is an honest attempt at making an electronic wearable device a fashionable and function timepiece.
