Getting it anodized gold is a much better option than spray paint.

for $100 you can gold plate it if you take it apart yourself.

The only problem is spray it gold your more then likely to get it nicked but the joke will be on them as try to sell it

This wouldn't work because the spray paint would get in between the dial and buttons

Then put something between team to capture the paint, or your u could take apart it and spray it. Do it at your own risk.
