Tom Ford has created an accessory that turns the Apple Watch into a pocket watch.
The fashion accessory was spotted as part of the new Tom Ford Spring 2016 collection. Instead of wearing the Apple Watch on the wrist, Ford has it in the pocket of a waistcoat with a chain extending from it.
New York Times reporter Matthew Schneier was the first to spot the accessory during the London Collections spring 2016 shows. Apparently, Ford made a hook that slides into the slot where a band would typically connect. Similar to a traditional pocket watch, a chain is then attached to the watch.
Actually, Ford wasn't the first person to envision an Apple Pocketwatch, check out Conan's here.

So...the whole reason the watch was made was to make information more accessible without having to constantly reach into your pocket to check you phone. Logically what you should do then is turn it into a pocked watch...because that makes perfect sense.

you seem to have the idea that fashion has anything to do with practicality !
This watch got Mr Ford a lot of press coverage which is the point.
Personally I have no interest in using it for Apple Pay and as I never go to the gym etc. I don't need a heart rate monitor so the 'impracticality ' doesn't bother me too much. Tech companies always add features that most ppl end up never using day to day.

I kinda like the option. I could see myself do that when I have an event that requires a suit. Any mention if it will be offered for purchase anytime?

There's a much simpler and cheaper way to do this. Don't buy an Apple watch at all. Your iPhone does everything the watch would do anyway and you've already got it in your pocket.

Kind of removes all purpose to have a smart watch:-)
You already have iphone in your pocket...May be just for fun..GOLD Chain....or earnings would work too..:-)
