Macy's has signed a major deal with Apple which will see the retailer carry its products and host an Apple Store in its flagship NYC location, notes the Cincinnati Business Courier.
Macy's President and incoming CEO Jeff Gennette announced the deal during a Goldman Sachs retail conference call.
Apple will build a store in Macy's flagship Herald Square location. The department store will be the first to house an Apple Store within its walls. It will also be the first to sell the Apple Watch. The smartwatch will be carried at more than 180 stores in time for the holiday shopping season.
“It will be in all of our top buildings for the holiday season,” Gennette said.

Macy's isn't any more expensive than any other big named department store out there. Sometimes they're less expensive if you hit the right sales. You can't compare them to a Walmart or a target type store because they sell a whole different quality of name brand clothes and products.
