Isn't this a return to the old Apple packaging method for hand-sized devices? I seem to recall my early generation iPods (3rd and 5th) coming in clear plastic like this? Isn't all this plastic also less "green?

Not if its recycled plastic that can recycled after instead of just throwing the packaging away.

Which is more efficient to recycle - plastic or cardboard? Not that I really care, I'm no eco-nazi, but Apple seems to be trying to avoid Green Peace's wrath these days.
