The sound quality of this wireless bs is too bad. Apple has to bring back the headphone jack. Not for my commute, but when I'm back home and want to listen to real music in peace.
I don't get why the headphone jack is so important. Apple gives you the adapter with your phone so you can use your wired ear buds. What are you so mad at? Is it because you can't charge your phone and listen to music/watch a video at the same time? Take a break! Put your device down and let it charge. Go do something else or continue what you're doing but without music. The key is to put the damn thing down once in awhile. It will prove to do good for you.
I hate unnecessary dongles. I don't like to take it along with my phone (I use different headsets so I can't just leave it on one of them) it's ridiculous. And I don't like the cheap digital to analog converter built in the dongle that is not on par with the ones apple used to build into it's phones before. They pretend to have music in their DNA, but just make their product less capable in this regard and charge even more for it. And they kill the best and most accepted standard connector for no real reason (except to save a few cents of course).
Well clearly you don’t know much they dropped he headphone jack for 2 main reasons: 1 doesn’t allow for a slimmer device and 2 it is a extremely old piece of tech that is limited in the way it allows music data through
Haha, and you don't know anything at all: the last iPhone with a jack was iPhone 6 and the phones haven't gotten any slimmer at all since then. iPhone X is even thicker. And the headphone jack dosen't do data at all. It's purely analog. And you know, that's okay because your ears are analog too (I assume). Therefore it depends on good digital to analog converters in the phone (rather than lousy ones in the dongle). Of course headphones could build in their own DACs, but then they have to build different headsets for each connector and have to pay expensive licenses to Apple... and I really don't see many doing that.
Usually the black models are the ones you see discounted. This is simply due to economies of scale (they make mostly black models). Expect the "street" prices on the black models to drop further very soon.
I would add the Beats Solo 3 "on ear" headphones are very cheaply made. The ear cover pads have sheer vinyl cover that constantly slips off its foam underbelly. Every time I want to use them, it requires pulling and stretching the foam cover back on. Maybe I got a bad batch.
My advice to you is to do a bit more research on what companies make the best sounding audio equipment in the category you're looking in and to not be brainwashed by what the media tells you is good. It's a little work but you will always feel satisfied when you're using it.
