Apple has announced that it will be discontinuing 'Back to My Mac' for all version of macOS on July 1, 2019. The service has already been removed from macOS Mojave.

In a recently updated support document the company says, "As of July 1, 2019, Back to My Mac service is not available in any other version of macOS."

The Back to My Mac feature allowed users to remotely connect to their computers for file and screen sharing purposes. Apple is now advising customers to use iCloud Drive, screen sharing, and Apple Remote Desktop instead.
