bubzz ive got the same problem wih you i was stocked a downloading payload to iphone any idea about it

I started iPlus 2.0b as shown but everything hangs at the "Downloading payload to iPhone" stage. Any ideas how long it normally takes to get to the Step 6 window?

Anyone have any idea if the pending software update will require a new jailbreak?

how can I remove iplus, and restore to factory settings, can that be done in iTunes? Thanks

@Michalis aka whiner, Actually I did say something constructive. I said: ZiPhone. Did I go too fast for you? Next time I will try and draw you a picture. Maybe you will recall that there was a problem with iPlus, but if they didn't include pictures you may have missed it.

Tordelf : I figured it out! Fist uninstall your iTunes and install again. When you connect the iPhone hold the switch on/off button AND the home button until you see the Apple sign. Do not let go of the home button until you get a message that iTunes recognizes your iPhone and asks if you want to restore. Click on restore and that will fix your iPhone. Originally the problem was that we tried to install iplus 2.0b BUT not with the international settings!! to do so: Download the international settings zip file and replace the PAYLOAD.zip in the original iPlus 2.0 file with this new international settings.zip by renaming it to payload.zip. Run cmd again and it will work!! :) I am in london and using a t - mobile PAYG and it works fine!! :) I will check the applications now and report back on any issues I hope that helps. PS: dt, if you dont have anything constructive to say... why dont you go **** your self

Sorry, adding the problem again in case you cannot find the original post: How do I get iTunes to recognise my iPhone again. After attempting to run iplus but something happened because it never finalized the scrip, iTunes says a resource is missing and therefore cannot reinstall 1.1.4 Stuck now with an iPhone with a screen showing the Apple logo and the revolving install logo. Can't reboot. Can't revoke. Can't do anything. Tried holding in Sleep/Wake and Back buttons screen goes black. After a few seconds I get is a red field at top and bottom of screen with aviega iPlus 2.0 etc etc. But then I am back at the same screen I started with. Rerunning the install scrip does not seem to overwrite either. HELP anyone?

Just wanted to add another positive (when I was researching the method I would use to unlock, activate, and jailbreak I would get nervous seeing all the negatives so I'm posting to offer a little reassurance). I just used iPlus on two iPhones. The longest part was downloading the restore package via iTunes. After that it was literally 11 minutes each and I was plugging my T-Mobile SIM card in. I restored to 1.1.4 (even though otb they already were 1.1.4 - just wanted to be safe). The restore was the hardest part to figure out - didn't realize I had to do something special on the phone (FYI to those like me - you have to plug the phone into the computer with iTunes running and even if iTunes recognizes the phone press and hold the HOME and POWER buttons, after 10 seconds let go of the POWER button, but keep holding HOME until iTunes says it detects an iPhone that needs to be restored). Once the restore was complete (just took a couple minutes after the 15 minute download - much faster on the second phone), then I did like the instructions said and ran the command with -u and 11 minutes later I was in! I've surfed the net and made some phone calls and as I type this I'm waiting for iTunes to finish syncing my music and movies. WOO HOO! Thanks SO much to all you great coders out there - I'm envious to the nth degree and just as appreciative!

Here's another option I found on the Apple Forums. Again, enter it into Terminal on the iPhone. chmod u+s /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/MobileMailSettings.bundle/MobileMailSettings

@ Dj Spy Mail crashing? Launch the Terminal on the iPhone and enter: chown -R mobile /var/mobile/Library/Mail I was having the same problem and found this on a hackthatphone forum. It worked for me. Good Luck!

I'm 1.1.2 OTB unlocked with independence. Uptadted to 1.1.3 and unlocked with Ziphone. Updated to .1.1.4 with iTunes 7.6 and unlocked with Independence 1.4Beta5. Everything works fine except the INSTALLER: I loaded it with Independence but when I try to install or uninstall something, I find the error: "main script execution failed!". Please help! Any Ideas? I did use Independence to unlock 1.1.4 because I did not want to dowgrade the baseband. Thanks!!!!!

I restored my iphone to 1.1.4 and ran everything. it went smooth and the turn out were great. the only problem i have is checking my mail.. i click on it and it keeps kicking me out. has anybody had this problem or is there a fix? -Dennis

Hi Guys everything seemed to work fine restored to 1.1.4 than ran the iplus -u and it all went great but i have a problem with the wallpapers i synced across when i apply one it just doesn't come up but when i apply a summerboard theme it applies a background image fine any ideas would be great

@dt. The Fakeblank 3.9 bootloader is good and is preferred as you have all the benefits of the original 3.9 but will give you an option to go back to 4.6. Zibri will not include the new bootloader because he doesn't want to use any of the new tools. I really doubt he will be able to even release a jailbreak for the iPod touch. //Rob

@TJP, You are correct but I used ZiBri's Zihone and it works fine. I still do not see the point to going back and forth with these bootloader issues. I am quite sure that if it was necessary, ZiBri would have put it in.

Is it just me... or does the readme file of the rapidshare link say that this is olye the 1.1 release???

I am getting my new iPhone from US next week... now I don't know which jailbreak/unlock to use... iPlus seems the right choice at the moment... however,... can I always "get back" to the original 1.1.4 firmware after attempting to use iPlus? Or have I lost that option after attempting?

On step 6 got permission denied - Had to resort to sudo to make the directory. Did the just jailbreak (dropped the -u) and got wait 45", then got "could not enable ssl " but it all worked Ok everything installed ok and no bugs GREAT. Thanks

yeah - got it to install the fake bsd subsystem - just now! but still the rest i am not able to install - will try further on but would be very glad to get some tips, help, support ;-)

used iPlus 1.2 to jailbreak, activate and unlock my 1.1.3 iphone which i first restored to 1.1.4 as discribed on your side. Everything is working fine - only one thing is strange!!! i have the installer on my phone, but only the installer no bsd subsystem, no terminal, nothing. By trying to install these apps or also others like mms from swirlyspace (i have all the sources in the installer) i do get an error message: main script execution failed! so i can not install anything with the installer? what did i miss out, what do i have to add to my iphone to get the installer working properly? thanks for help!

@dt, currently you must be on 3.9 to use 1.1.4 with its matching baseband. (Enables Google Locate etc). A restore will not put the 4.6BL back.

aaahhaa!! YET.... being the operative word... I have no doubt you guys will crack the 3.9 upgrade obstacle too! I think i'll wait and see! You guys are awesome! Thanks again, AC

Thanks. Hopefully in the future this will be possible. One last question. What is the functional difference between 3.9 and 4.6 and why bother downgrading or upgrading back? Oh, and if I do a full restore via iTunes will this put the 4.6 BL back? Thanks

@dt, did u use ZiPhone to downgrade your bootloader? If yes, then there isn't much advantage to iPlus now.
@NICK, how did u get no imei ?
@macluvr, the benefit to doing this is going to the fake bootloader which can be upgraded in the future whereas currently if you downgrade to the regular 3.9 BL you can't go back up yet...

Does anyone from this site answer questions or do they just post info? I would like to know if it is possible or does it make sense to use iPlus if I already used ZiPhone 2.5c. Is that too much to ask?

will this fix no imei/ ccid/ bt/ wifi/ sound brick problem. my iphone is pretty much useless until i can sort this out. there are loads of us with the problem so if it does not, please can you guys @ iclarified work on a fix please.

I also had a permission denied at step 6 (cp libreadline.5.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/.) The solution is to add sudo in front -> sudo cp libreadline.5.2.dylib /opt/local/lib/. Thx to Jeff At first try, it didn't work and my phone had to be restored in iTunes :( Second try did work. good luck

Good Day to all! I have a 16 gig 1.1.3 otb jailbroke with z2.5 upto 1.1.4 works perfect... my question is... What benefit is there to doing this? It seems that most who have are outside US. Is there a GREAT benefit to downgrade fake for now or future? I'm confused.... Thanks in advance & please donate to these dedicated poeple:)
