Apple has released the official trailer for "Born to be Wild," a new six-part wildlife documentary series narrated by SAG Award winner Hugh Bonneville. The series will premiere worldwide on Friday, December 19, on the newly renamed Apple TV service.
Filmed over several years in five countries, the series follows six endangered young animals as they are raised by conservation teams and prepared for life in the wild. The show focuses on the relationship between the animals and the people who care for them, and on the work required to rehabilitate and reintroduce them to their natural habitats.
"Born to be Wild" traces the full journey for each animal, including an elephant calf, two cheetahs, a ring-tailed lemur pup, a moon bear cub, Iberian lynx kittens, and rescued African penguins. Viewers get a close look at the challenges and small victories that shape their path toward release, while the series highlights the broader effort to protect threatened species.
The project is a co-production between Tailfeather Productions and Offspring Films. It is executive produced by Lucy van Beek for Tailfeather, and by Alex Williamson and Isla Robertson for Offspring Films. Tom Payne serves as series producer.
