iPhone 14 to Feature A16 Bionic Processor With 6-Cores, Support for 5G, LPDDR5, Wi-Fi 6E [Report]

The iPhone 14, expected in arrive in 2H22, will feature an A16 Bionic processor with six cores, according to the Commercial Times. The processor will reportedly be built on TSMC's 4nm process.

As for the new iPhone 14 that Apple will launch in the second half of 2022, according to industry sources, Apple will launch two A16 Bionic processors, both of which will have a 6-core processor architecture, but will be differentiated according to the number of graphics cores. Supports 5G dual-band and next-generation LPDDR5, WiFi 6E and other technical specifications, all of which will use TSMC's 4nm process.

While Apple releases new mobile processors on a 12 month cycle, the Commercial Times expects the company to release its desktop processors on an 18 month cycle.
