Information from Asia Optical indicates that Apple is producing three million iPhones per month.
According to a DigiTimes report, Asia Optical chairman Robert Lai says the company began to deliver VGA lens kits for the iPhone 4 in May 2010, with a monthly shipment volume of three million units.
AppleInsider notes that at this rate Apple could break the 10 million unit milestone for iPhones sold during a single quarter for the first time. Its quarterly record is currently 8.75 million units. Research in Motion broke the 10 million unit barrier for the first time last fall.
