iPhone Dev-Team har postat ledtrådar om vad RedSn0w projektet kan vara...

- Nåväl det är inte en Britisk Thermonuclear apparat.
- Det är inte ett avsnitt från “The Twilight Zone”
- Och det är absolut inte iPhone 3G relaterat
- Det är en annan apparat…
- Vad kan det vara?

Det verka som att redsn0w är relaterat till iPod touch. Möjligtvis en jailbreak för andra generationens iPod Touch.

Bilden på http://www.redsn0w.com har blivit uppdaterad med någon slags "nyckel/key" högst uppe i vänster hörn på bilden. Ser ut som en liknande som MD5 "nyckel"/key. Tillika, så har bilden på barnet som spelade luffarschack bytts ut mot en bild på en del av ett datachip.

Finally........I hope they finish it soon, been wiaitng for a while plus my iphone screen just cracked and stop working so I'm stuck with the 2g for now. Dev team u guys are the greatest.

MuscleNerd made a reply to a comment on the dev-teams blog confirming that it is iPod Touch related and that they were 'diverted by another exploit which they were not expecting' Also he says that the code that the top is.... ' an "escrow" hash of decrypted iBoot for ipt2g (length=0x29000). Not otherwise obtainable except via an exploit (afaict). This is most likely a jailbreak for iPod Touch 2G
