Authentic Yoga with Deepak Chopra 1.5 Released

The world's largest Yoga event is set to take place today as more than 10,000 people are gathering in Central Park, Miami Beach and Hollywood, but most yoga practitioners in the country still will not be able to make any of these events. Instead, spiritual leader and author Deepak Chopra and his yoga instructor Tara Stiles are using the latest technologies to invite people all over the world to participate using their "Authentic Yoga with Deepak Chopra" application for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

"We want people everywhere to be a part of this great event" said Deepak Chopra, "and join with us in spirit by taking a few minutes to practice yoga wherever they are, at home, at work, at their local park, the location is unimportant." The event will start at 5:30 pm eastern time, and run for an hour and a half. Tara herself will be teaching for the Los Angeles event, to be held at 3pm Pacific at the Standard Hotel. This is a free event.

Using the app, which has been designed for all levels of yoga practitioners, you can practice alongside Deepak and Tara through dozens of poses including those designed to help those with tight shoulders and back pain, or even get walked through Deepak's own personal yoga routine. The app includes video, images and audio instruction from both Tara and Deepak.


Because of the event, Signal Patterns, developers of the Authentic Yoga with Deepak Chopra iPhone and iPad app as well as his other apps "Stress Free with Deepak Chopra" and a line of five meditation apps, will be reducing the price of the app down to $0.99 for the rest of the week. The count of each new user of the app will be tallied and sent to Flavorpill, organizers of the yoga event for inclusion in their finally tally to the Guinness Book of World Records.
