Travel Back in Time With Geologic Time Scale

Tasa Graphic Arts has announced the availability of two new iOS apps for geology students. The geotimescale Enhanced app is now available for the iPhone and the iPod touch and the geotimescale Enhanced HD app is available for the iPad. These apps illustrate significant events and periods of time in Earth's history.

These geotimescale enhanced apps display the Geologic Time Scale that represents the timeline for Earth's history. The Geologic Time Scale shows the names of the eons, eras, periods, epochs, and ages along with their corresponding dates. Each app also includes illustrations and information for significant events that have occurred during Earth's long history. Illustrations by Dennis Tasa provide an artistic impression of how Earth may have appeared and how life may have evolved over time. Find out, for example, when dinosaurs ruled the world. Touching a "more info" icon provides additional information about each illustration.

These apps provide a complete reference for students, educators, professional geologists, or anyone interested in geology. They are easy to use. No internet connection is required. Ideal for field use. The HD version has been optimized to take full advantage of the iPad.
