Units And Currency Converter

Mallow Technologies has announced the release of ConvertX 1.1 for iOS. iPhone users can now convert units and currencies instantly using the converter app ConvertX. This app has covered almost all the units that we may need for conversion. The units are grouped based on the nature of the measurement and listed under that category. This app has 44 categories which includes Currency conversion as a category.

Some of the other categories covered are Length, Mass, Area, Computer data, Flow, Energy, Pressure, Temperature, Time, Volume and lot more. Many rare categories like Amount of substance, Capacitance, Illuminance, Magnetic flux and many more scientific & engineering categories are also covered. Categories like age on other planets and weight on other planets are also included in this app. Similarly almost all units that you can think of in a category is available under that category.

Having many categories and units may frustrate while changing from one category to another as you have to scroll through a long list. But not any more. ConvertX has got an option to switch ON / OFF any category or unit and thus it can be kept out of the active mode. While changing category only the active list appears and so you will scroll through only the active list that you have defined. You can edit the active list and can add / remove any category or unit from / to active mode.


Many users use a particular conversion very often. ConvertX has made it convenient for them too. Select the conversion you would use very often and just tap on the star button on the left top, it adds to the favorites list. To access it, just tap on the star button and you will get the favorites list from where you can select the conversion you need.

Apart from all these great features, ConvertX has got the search option with which you can get to the unit or category just by typing the name in the search bar. Search is instantaneous and it gives the best results for what you type. Hence if you are not sure with the exact unit name, just type a part of it and get the right one from the search results. There is a segment button for categories and units under the search bar and selecting either of them gives you the result in the respective search. The search option serves really handy when these many units are covered.
