If you're like most of us out there, you probably hate the new backup feature of the iPhone/iTouch+iTunes. It backs up all the programs that you have purchased, and generally takes 10-20 minutes to complete.
Hendrik Holtmann made a quick little solution for that. At a click of the mouse, it disables the backup process, but still syncs your mail, contacts, photos, etc.
No need of a soft: you just click the cross on the right of the sync progress bar in iTunes and the process jumps to the next step - the sync of infos...!
... I "discovered" that because, I too, was piss*d off by the way too long sync...

Hmm, read it before. I believe it's basically do the same command:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true (to disable)
or
defaults write com.apple.iTunes DeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false (to enable)
Er - kinda pointless. There's a generic thing that works on BOTH PC and Mac -if you look in the iTunes status bar it will say "Backing up xxxxxx" and there will be a little cross to the right of this. click the cross and backup will be cancelled and it will start syncing.
Using it. Loving it. Hopefully a new iTunes Version will let you set an option to - lets say "do a weekly, daily, etc. Backup" so you don't have to think about it and using this handy mini app to turn/off the process yourself.
I always get a warm & fuzzy feeling when I know my stuff is saved at some point ;-)
