Check out these beautiful renders of a concept 'iPhone Air' by Ciccarese Design.
Created by Italian studio Ciccarese Design and depicted as available in both White and Black, the device is pictured featuring an edge-to-edge display complete with a brushed aluminium tapered body design, which mirrors that of Apple's ultra-thin, super-light MacBook Air.

What about some sort of bumper? If you have any protection around the phone, you'd be blocking part of the screen....

Yeah, I don't get it either. Also, you'd always be touching the screen resulting in unwanted taps and presses.

Looks just like a droid X thinner at the bottom thicker on the top..
Thats a violation of the droid patent!! better change that make thinner from the top to bottom.
I like my white iPhone 4

Droid X looks like shit, nothing like this one. I like this design and hope the next iPhone is close to this. But the screen goes to close to the edge that I think it's impossible to happen.

It could be some magnetic charger and USB conector that would be bad ass

Like the power mat! Oh, I'm excited already for the next iPhone. NFC would be nice too.

Cool looks like wifi sync only and solar charge and wireless charging dock ?

Tjp - July 28, 2011 at 9:25pm
Apparently wireless sync only! And maybe the mic hole at the top should be bigger... I like the concept though ... Oh and a small buffer plastic strip between the glass and the metal frame is usual for mobile devices. Metal flexes much more than glass especially given dimensions and positions. And the top could be thinner!

It would be awesome if Apple created an iPhone where the screen went all the way to the edge like in this concept. Although, I can see it also being a bad thing as far as false touches go, since when I'm grasping the phone in my hand my fingers might touch the screen on the sides (I don't use a case since I prefer the feel of the iPhone itself, so I tend to have a tight grip on the phone so I don't drop it).

I agree with the false touches. Also like 2nd and 3rd picture as it has that nice subtle black. The first picture with the white just makes it look bad

Who's to say you can't have the screen to the edge but only enable touch a few mm in from the edge to avoid accidental touch!
