Apple is simplifying the design of its iconic Fifth Ave Retail Store by using only 15 pieces of glass instead of 90.
In mid-June, Apple began work on its its $7 million renovation of its flagship Manhattan store. It has covered the entire building with a huge tarp cube while construction is underway.
Now, Apple has revealed its plans for the location by posting an informational sign on the barrier surrounding the plaza that reads,
"We're simplifying the Fifth Avenue cube. By using larger, seamless pieces of glass, we're using just 15 panes instead of 90."
