Apple Says iPhone 4S is Now Available in Store By Reservation Only

Apple has updated the 'How to Buy' page for the iPhone 4S to say that purchase of the device is available in store by reservation only, reports MacRumors.

iPhone 4S is available in store by reservation only. Reserve yours after 9:00 p.m. tonight for pickup tomorrow. When you come in, you'll choose a carrier and plan, and we'll get your iPhone up and running before you leave the store.

It's likely that Apple won't refuse walk-in sales but may be trying to reduce lineups and make the buying process easier for customers.
