thx for the att unlocking info i find it really useful thx both tom and david
david - April 25, 2013 at 3:42pm
I know this article is not about unlocking the carrier, but I want to tell people att-iphone-unlockcom is worthless, took them 5 weeks, and after I restart my phone, it's locked again. Just so you folks know, be careful while picking unlocking sites.

I've completed this process twice now on my iPhone 3gs with 5.1.1 and I get to the last screen, see a half eaten pineapple on my phone, and then my phone goes to my lock screen. After I unlock it everything is exactly the same and Cydia has not been installed (I searched for it manually and with search bar.) What am I doing wrong??!

My iPhone 3gs was jailbroken. I believe that it was on 4.1.1. I upgraded the OS using itunes to iOS 6.1.X, the latest one available. post the new iOS install, the phone went in configure mode and then came to activation, where it neither connected to the activation server nor accepted the SIM network. I have been trying to jailbreak this phone ever since. I got redsn0w_win_0.9.15b1 and tried to jailbreak it, but following the missing keys error, i downloaded the iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw. I tried to first fix in recovery mode, then jailbreak - cydia installing, but nothing seems to work, I get back to configure iphone screen. Need help

My iPhone 3GS is already on Jailbreak with Cydia has already been installed. But right now my iPhone is so slow and battery also drains so fast. I remember I jailbroke it using RedSnow some package. It's currently on Version 4.3.3 (8J2) and Modem Firmware 06.15.00. Is there a updated iOS jailbreak available for my iPhone 3GS? Which is the most recent jailbreak available for 3GS? If it can be updated, could someone advise me the steps or correct links where I can look into? Will my iPhone get into brick if I erase all my contents and upgrade into a recent iOS? Later can I jailbreak? Please help me.

Mr.Naveen.. i tried the way u said. my 3gs is in new bootroom. so an error msg is displaying like invalid blobs/device+ios combination. so please tel me next procedure. i tried to upgrade from 4.1 to 5.1.1 Thanks
NAVEEN - November 19, 2012 at 6:50pm
You might have downloaded the wrong version of ios, for iphone 3gs it should be iPhone2,1_5.1.1_9B206. First save the ssh blobs for ur iphone using tiny umbrella. You should choose the exact ssh blob suitable to ios 5.1.1.

NAVEEN NAGIREDDY - November 10, 2012 at 9:49am
iphone 3gs with newbootrom is jailbreakable on ios 5.1.1 with snowbreeze in ifatih mode, you can avoid errors by using iREB to keep mobile in DFU mode before restoring cutom os with itunes.
