Apple may be looking to increase customer participation in reviewing iPhone and iPod touch apps.
The latest build of iPhone Firmware 2.2 now asks customers to rate an application before removal. Presumably Apple will send this information back to the iTunes App Store to help customers looking to purchase the application.
Also new in the iPhone 2.2 Firmware is: Car, Public Transit, and Walking Directions, Google Street View, and Location Sharing.
