Brad Brooks has released EditCalc, an iPhone/iPod Touch calculator for film, video and audio professionals. EditCalc handles frame, footage and timecode calculations and conversions with simultaneous display of all units. Users can switch between frame rates, drop frame/non-drop frame or film types with the press of a button and any previous calculation value or result can be recalled from the history view with a touch.

The calculator interface has been streamlined so that users need not enter separators for timecode or footage values. Additionally, a double zero key is provided to speed up entry of footage and timecode values.

* 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 59.94 and 60 FPS modes
* Drop and non-drop frame support
* 16mm, 35mm 3-perf, 35mm 4-perf and 70mm 5-perf film modes for footage
* Simultaneous display of frame, footage and timecode values
* History view shows previous calculations and allows recall of values or results with a touch
* No need to enter separators in timecode and footage modes
* Double zero key makes timecode and footage entries faster
