Posted July 29, 2013 at 5:01pm by
Apple has just released iOS 7 beta 4 to developers for download as predicted earlier today. No word on any of the changes yet, however it will most likely include bug fixes and a few UI changes here and there.

The firmware is currently available via Software Update and through the dev center shortly. The delta update is 263MB for the iPhone 5 and 207MB for older devices

We'll update you with any change we find here[/b].

Also, we will let you know if the update is safe for those without a registered developer account using the update trick soon.

Update: The update trick is safe.

From firmware 6.x.x, you need to download iOS 7 IPSW file and update through iTunes. After install, you can use the OTA update (via Settings - Software Update) to update to the latest Beta. I'm not sure if you can just straight to Beta 3, without 1 and 2. Any word on that guys?

Hi, I am curious, if I downmload it and try to use it, will it ask me for some developer UDID to activate the ios? Sorry if my question sounds stupid, I never used a beta ios before, but I just want to try this one. Basically what I am trying to find out is: will it work on my iphone 4s with no problem, or would I need anything "special" or should I say specific to activate it? Thank you

dumb question maybe - but - can you update right to beta 4 or do you need to install beta 1 & then OTA the others in order?
OMGguy
OMGguy - July 29, 2013 at 7:31pm
I'm pretty sure you can just install beta 4 right off the bat.

CHANGELOG - What I noticed ------ - Search bar for searching iPad/iPhone has bigger text - It's now "> Slide to Unlock" instead of "Slide to Unlock" BUG FIXES ------ - When killing an app that you are currently running the springboard background would go black - A little less laggy STUFF UNFIXED ------ Pressing home button then going into newsstand crashes the springboard

Can anyone comment if there are less bugs? I'm hearing that there are still issues, eg: blank homescreen with no icons....etc. Not quite sure if Apple has ironed out the bugs.
